What is an Employee Assistance Program?

An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a work-based program designed to help employees manage personal and professional challenges that may affect their well-being and job performance. EAPs are a confidential resource for your employees to access mental health support for short-term interventions and acute care.

Why Employers Choose to Work with Me:

Committed to Confidentiality and Privacy Your employees can reach out for help without fear of judgment or workplace repercussions. As a licensed psychologist, maintaining strict confidentiality in line with ethical and legal guidelines is essential to foster trust and ensure that employees feel safe seeking support.

Short-Term, Solution-Focused Therapy EAPs typically offer brief counseling sessions, usually ranging from 3-6 sessions. The aim is to address immediate concerns and provide employees with strategies to manage or resolve issues that might be affecting their work or personal life. These sessions can cover a wide variety of topics, including stress management, workplace conflicts, relationship challenges, grief, substance abuse, mental health concerns, and work-life balance.

Referral and Follow-up Services While EAP services are short-term, if an employee’s needs go beyond the scope of the EAP, I can connect them with additional resources.

Accessibility and Flexibility EAP counseling is available in person, via phone, and virtually. I’ll work with your employees to access care in a way that works for them as they continue their work and personal responsibilities while receiving support.

Company-Wide Training Options I provide group presentations and workshops specific to your organization. Whether you need a speaker for a meeting or company retreat or your teams require assistance navigating a difficult situation in the workplace, I offer sessions on a range of topics. We can address stress management, workplace communication, resilience, relaxation, and practical tools that foster a healthier, more productive work environment.

I offer open-ended and brief treatment options.
